More out of your pocket
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has increased the price of obtaining a replacement licence by 14% to cover its rising administrative costs. The agency claims the fee increase for a replacement card, from £17.50 to £20, is justified as it has to pay for what it calls "the cost of providing services" ie as they catch you for speeding its going to cost you more to get your licence clean????
