Unite to ballot G B Oils Tanker drivers on industrial action

WE SHOULD BE VALUED MORE
WE ARE WORTH MORE!

UNITE THE UNION and your elected Union Leadership are fighting on your behalf to achieve improved Terms and Conditions of Employment for YOU our member. The Company have shown that they believe their shareholders are worth an 8% increase in their dividend in the last year, but you are only worth 3% in the last two years. As you can see from  whats going at  Inverness (The company G B Oil's) run by paul vian. can not get to you all !! so it looks like that they are trying to get at you by getting at your  Shop Steward's
WELL NOW IT WILL BE YOUR TURN
THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO STAND TOGETHER AND TELL YOUR EMPLOYER THAT "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" ;that this cannot go on and that "best wishes" and " thank you's" can't pay the bills.
So by voting for (1) and (2) in the consultative ballot you will send out the message to the board that you will not be intimidated by the BULLY BOYS that have a cheek to call them self's managers.
This is your first and probably your last time to stand up and be MEN if not ??????

RE Have your say employee survey results - says it all half the staff complained their Managers did not keep them informed or took their complaints seriously this will be addressed at some point- Managers get serious money to manage however do not listen- Drivers should get serious money to drive- easy drop the serious money to the plonkers that hold a position to manage. Re your shop steward in Inverness was a Manager present or a plonker??

If they can suspend your shop stewards and you do nothing to oppose it then maybe you all deserve the pay award you get.

Accepted the men in question allegedly broke regulations; however it seems management use personal mobiles to contact drivers when it suits them.

The Union is not some mystical organisation with super powers it is YOU! It is only as powerful as your solidarity. If you cannot stand together and support each other you are sunk.

Sales can sell as much fuel as they like; Managers and Shareholders are not going to get this fuel to the customer.

Be assertive. Stand Together. Have a life AND a wage.

I bet your top multi-million pound management, having never driven a dangerous load up a sheep track, dont miss their familes, while they are saving up for their yachting holiday in the caribbean.

Wise up and stand together for all our sakes!

I agree withe comment at 11.45. It's not just about the money now it's about dignity and respect. At the moment we are given niether. If we don't stand together and win then I know for a fact we will all regret it because the union will lose all credibility and then the company will do what the hell they like. Yes I know some of you are thinking the union had no crdibility in the first place but if you don't back them things will get a whole lot worse. GUARENTEED

hi,another good man gets the bullet for an offence that is so petty that it has to be on a personnal level.just because he has been a good shop steward. if anybody needs to know the way this company is going take a look at scottish fuels. they are being messed about big time. lets hope that the next steward they get has the same size cajones as usdian.

did the shop steward from inverness get fired ? if so what are his work mates doing about it, as im sure he did plenty for them ! i believe they have 2 stewards up there so i hope he is organising something ! thet really cant let this go !!!!!!!!

We are all his work mates. England and Wales included. The best thing we can do to support Uisdean is to vote for strike action when the legal ballot comes around and give the tosser that instigated his sacking a real good bloody nose as thta's the only language he seems to understand. Yes Mr God you know who you are.

You guys do not have the balls to go on strike. One of your own drivers set up by management and you guys do nothing. You couldnt strike a bloody match. Everyone in the petroleum industry is laughing at you.

Shop Steward Uisdean was not only fired today but also banned from Caley Oils Terminals therefore they have made sure he does,nt work again in the North oil industry.
    Common respect and dignity gone.
Think hard the remaining ones - you could be next
Stand up to the bastard that did this to him and start being men

Well said Furious bastard but the problem you have in a depot like inverness is that they are now all desperate to get his job driving a BIG lorry instead of doing domestics. Divide and conquer is the way they like it. I also think you will find that other companies in the industry will not support you. Your own drivers driving through picket lines in grangemouth and delivering to shell and bp sites. I doubt if this will be forgotten.

shop steward unisdean was a good worker for the men,but when he started he was doing all the hours and working in other depots doing work when drivers in depot said they had done enough. let us all remind our self we have all broke rules but at the end of the day company are just go ing to use drivers hand book when it suits them .until all drivers stick together we will get nowhere ,drivers saying one thing to your face then going to management and saying something else. you also have drivers phoning up other drivers trying to scare them by saying if we do not acept offer there will be pay offs, if they want to pay men off they will do it where we get pay offer or not

they,ve just paid off 3 tanker drivers in the Penrith depot and 2 office staff yet they have 3 area managers in the same region i.e south scotland region, shows who,s looking after who don,t you think,if they,d got rid of one of the managers it would have saved 2 jobs, now the drivers who are left know they won,t be able to cope in the winter period, yet more customers lost to the competitors, but hey who cares the managers are still getting their big salaries and who cares about the drivers.Well done g.b.oils
